I qualified in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1992, and have been living and working in Malvern since 1994. I am currently undertaking a Postgraduate Masters Program through Bristol University, and I am a regular fixture at local dental meetings and seminars. I have special interests in Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics. I am currently a member of several prestigious organisations including: British Dental Association British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Gloucestershire Independent Dentists Group Outside Dentistry I have 3 young children to keep me busy and a passion for Mountain Biking and Squash!

I am a busy Mum of two lovely daughters age 10 and 2. You may see me Morris Dancing with Jenny Pipes Morris side in the summer months. I love to spend my spare time baking delicious cakes. At Beacon DentalCare I love to look after people who are less than keen on visiting the dentist. I have a particular interest in whitening teeth, and have won a prize from Bristol University for Periodontology (work with gum disease).

Kelly Skinner

Originally from leicester I now live in Birmingham. I commenced my career in dentistry in 1990 as a dental nurse shortly after leaving school. In 1998 I qualifed from Birmingham Dental School as a Dental Hygeinist. I worked in both NHS and private practices all over the midlands, also working in the specialist Periodontal Department at Birmingham Dental Hospital and at a specialist implant practice in Leicester. In 2002 I spent a year backpacking around Australia where I was able to work as a dental nurse in Perth, Cairns and Syndey. In 2003 I decided to further my training and studied for the Diploma in Dental Therapy at Liverpool Dental School which I passed with distinction in 2006. My therapy skills allow me to carry out fillings on both adults and children and to extract baby teeth. I am really looking forward to being able to develop and enhance these skills at Beacon DentalCare. In my spare time I keep fit by weight training and running and completed my first half marathon in October 2007. I adore travelling and would like to see a s much of the world as possible.

Lisa Gibbs

Dental Hygeinist

I qualified from the Royal Air Force Institute of Dental Health and Training in 1989. Since then I have worked in several fields, clinically in both private and NHS practice, as a tutor and on a course design team updating the diploma in dental hygiene syllabus. I am happily married and mum to three small children, one boy and two girls. I am often found on the trampoline or playing football or frisbee. I also play hockey in the Severn Division – we win some, lose some and draw some! I also enjoy skiing and the very occasional round of golf. I love my garden and cooking (and of course the eating!) – but find there is never enough time to do it all.

Christine Smith

I have lived in Malvern as a qualified Dental Nurse for 28 years. In that time I have also become qualified as an Oral Health Educator and Practice Manager. For the last five years I have been a fully qualified NVQ Assessor, helping new nurses achieve the legal requirements of the profession. I will continue to be involved in providing high quality in-house training for nurses at Beacon DentalCare to ensure our patients get the best quality treatment and service at all levels. I enjoy walking on the hills and meeting new people, and will be doing my bit to reduce the carbon footprint of the practice by walking to work!

I have worked in the dental profession for around 27 years in both general practice and for the PCT. I have lived in Malvern for 7 years having relocated from Essex. I am delighted to be working at Beacon DentalCare with a team of enthusiastic, lively and dedicated professionals. In my spare time I enjoy walking the beautiful hills and practicing yoga as well as visiting the theatre. Our Nursing Team leader was shortlisted in The Private Dentistry Awards 2009 as 'Most Outstanding Individual In Dentistry' Well done Paula!

I have lived in Malvern for most of my life, and am married with two grown up children. I have worked in the hospitality industry and in customer care. I started at Beacon DentalCare in March 2008 and have found myself to be working with enthusiastic and friendly colleagues.

Kate has worked in dental teams with Karen and David before, and has recently joined Beacon after spending some time in the retail world. She has a 2 year old daughter who keeps her busy when she's not here!
