In our health and beauty conscious society an attractive smile enhances self-confidence making you feel younger healthier and happier. You only get one chance to make a first impression and with modern cosmetic techniques it is quick and easy to enhance your smile comfortably and permanently whatever your age, budget or problem.

Often we take for granted things that have cost us little yet put a high value on anything fashionable today, but useless tomorrow. Gold, diamonds etc, can all be replaced but healthy eyes and teeth are priceless.

You are entitled to look your best and be proud of your smile so there is nothing wrong in cheating a little. Regular quality dental care helps you keep your teeth for life. Anything this precious must be worth looking after and represents a sound investment.

You will be surprised how affordable it is to achieve a healthy more attractive smile compared to life's other luxuries.

Cosmetic Bonding

Modern tooth coloured restorative materials can be bonded to teeth, often without the need for an anaesthetic, in order to improve the shape or colour of teeth. However although this is the quickest and least expensive method, the results are not as good as or as long lasting as veneers or crowns. Prices range from £73 to £109 per tooth.

Veneers

A very thin shell of porcelain is permanently bonded to the surface of the tooth for cosmetic purposes. It may be used to improve stained or discoloured teeth, chipped or broken teeth, crooked or miss-aligned teeth or gaps between widely spaced teeth. A new veneer looks and feels like a natural tooth, and treatment only involves two visits. A veneer costs from £355 per tooth.

Crowns

A crown is an artificial cap which fits over the prepared tooth in order to restore its natural appearance and function. It may be used to repair teeth or improve their appearance:

Decayed teeth where ordinary filling materials will be insufficient for repair. Aesthetics correcting crooked or misshapen teeth as well as replacing large and unsightly fillings. It may also be used to reconstruct damaged teeth. Crowns cost from £370 depending on the materials that are used.

Straightening crooked teeth

Orthodontics - We can advise and refer for this specialised care which is available for adults and children. Orthopaedic orthodontics without the need for extraction of teeth is also available.

Replacing missing teeth

The following are all ways of replacing missing teeth, each with their different benefits. It would be necessary to discuss with one of our dentists the most appropriate treatment to suit individual's own requirements.

Dentures - These may be metal or plastic and will be costed upon consultancy. The price range is from £340 to £950.

Bridges - Conventional bridges involve crowns being placed on teeth either side of a gap in order to support an artificial replacement tooth. Bridges cost from £370.

Adhesive bridges - These have wings that stick to the adjacent teeth to hold the artificial tooth in place. These are less expensive and do not alter your existing teeth. Prices range from £385.

Implants - These involve titanium screws being inserted into the jaw where they are integrated with the bone and are able to support an artificial replacement. This is the most advanced and expensive method of replacing missing teeth and would not always be appropriate. Our dentists would be able to advise you on this.
