Everyone at our practice is committed to providing you with the very best in dental healthcare. Our dental team bring a wealth of experience to the practice and have individually obtained high standards of professional qualification.

Jon Taylor

BDS DPDS

Jon qualified from Guys Dental School in 1989 and worked as a House Surgeon before moving to general practice in the West Country in 1990. He gained his DPDS qualification from Bristol in 1999. More recently Jon gained his qualification to perform Restylane dermal filler injection techniques for the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and is currently studying an Implantology course. Jon has an interest in cosmetic dentistry, facial rejuvenation, homeopathy and dental implants. Outside of work Jon enjoys playing computer games and DIY in the country cottage he shares with his wife, three children and German Shepherd in the Blackdown Hills.

Rachel Patten

BDS (U.Lond)

Rachel qualified in 1989 from University College Hospital Dental School and has worked in general practice since then. The first 16 years were spent in her home village in West Sussex, working full time until beginning a family. She relocated to Devon at Easter in 2006, moving to Brookvale in January 2007, where she works a 3-4 day week.

Her passion is still to provide a comprehensive general dental service to her patients, from the very young to the more mature, encompassing all their dental needs, with interests in cosmetic dentistry.

Outside of work Rachel enjoys spending time with her partner, three children and dogs, exploring the Devon countryside.

Stefan Bekker

Dental Surgeon

Stefan who joined Brookvale on July 1st 2008, qualified at the University of Stellenbosch, cape Town, South Africa. He moved to England eight years ago and has been working in both Exeter and Cullompton. Stefan has a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry, particularly cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics, and like all of the Dental Surgeons within our group of practices; he will be continuing to update his skills and techniques to allow the Practice to offer the best care and advice to all of our patients.

Jane Hindle

Dip Dental Hygiene (1980) Dip

Jane qualified at the Royal Naval Dental School in Portsmouth in 1980. After she completed service with the W.R.N.S. she moved to Exmouth. Jane worked locally for 15 years both in general practice and with the Community Dental Service specialising in Health Education and treating dental phobic patients and patients with special needs. She joined Brookvale in the spring of 2005.

Outside of work, Jane is a qualified Yoga teacher and enjoys teaching her weekly class in Exmouth. Her hobbies include kayaking and swimming and walking the South West Coastal path. Jane can also be found singing World War 2 songs with a group called The Sirens. Jane has two sons and two cats and lives locally in a beautiful Devon village.

Felicity Taylor-French

Cert DPM

Felicity is our Business Development Manager and oversees the management of our three practices. Felicity has worked for the group since 2003 and has played a major part in the growth and vision of the businesses. A qualified Practice Manager, Felicity enjoys all aspects of managing a team of dental professionals and excels in developing practices to reach their full potential. Felicity spends her weekends with her husband and bull terrier travelling around the North Devon and Cornish coast in their campervan looking for waves!

Nicola Harris

Practice Manager

Nicola relocated to the South West five years ago from Kent after visiting the area one weekend and falling in love with the people and the pace of life.

With over 25 years experience working the field of private dentistry both in general practice and with Pfizer Pharmaceutical Ltd, Nicola is more than qualified to look after and care for the Brookvale team and patients. Her diligence, enthusiasm and love of her work is well renowned in Honiton.

Nicola lives with her partner, daughter and two step daughters just outside Axminster. When she is not at work, Nicola loves to travel and hopes to retire to warmer climes in the future. Until then, you are more likely to see her out walking with her beloved Staffi-cross, Charlie along Seaton sea front in the evening.

Alison Wright

Alison is our Senior Dental Nurse and joined Brookvale in 2005. As well as gaining her dental nurse qualification, Alison has carried out specialised training in dental implantology and is currently studying a course in Oral Health Education. With her friendly, bubbly personality, Alison is a very popular member of the team both with patients and staff. As well as her duties in the surgery, Alison also works on the reception team where her warm caring advise helps put patients at ease.

In her spare time she enjoys yoga, holidays and spending time with her family.

Jane Dalton

Jane joined Brookvale in the summer of 2004 and gained her dental nurse qualification in May 2005. During her time at Brookvale, Jane mainly works along side our hygienist in providing fresh breath makeovers.

Jane lives with her partner, one of her two sons and three black cats in Honiton. Jane is a fabulous cook and has made the most delicious birthday cakes for the staff! Her other interest are photography, cycling and healthy living.

Jodie Lovering

Jodie started her dental career at Brookvale in 2005 and gained her dental nurse qualification in April 2006. Jodie spends most of her week working alongside Rachel delivering high quality general dentistry to our patients. Like Alison, Jodie also helps out on the reception team. Outside of work, Jodie has a very active social life and enjoys spending time along the South West coast and travelling to exotic places.

Lynn Evans

Lynn has been working in the field of dentistry since 1976, starting as a dental nurse and then as part of the reception team. With her vast knowledge and experience, Lynn is well qualified to help and advise with any dental needs.

Lynn lives with her husband Kevin and eldest daughter Fiona in South Somerset and enjoys coastal path walking, cycling and exercising her dog Jem.

Ruth Tuck

Ruth's dental career spans over 40 years, starting as a dental nurse and enjoying all aspects of clinical and administration work. Ruth has enjoyed many varied roles within the practices she has worked at including assisting with research projects for a dental journal. A dedicated member of the reception team, Ruth spends her spare time walking, sewing and reading.

Vikki Goddard

Vikki is the newest addition to the Brookvale team. Originally from the Southeast, Vikki has settled in the Southwest, living in East Devon for the past five years. A late starter to dentistry, Vikki originally trained as an actress prior to embarking on her career in Dentistry. In May 2007, Vikki passed her certificate in Dental Nursing and is currently looking to commence a course in Implant training. Vikki is a dedicated individual who is committed to patient care. Warm and approachable, Vikki works alongside Camilla at Brookvale.
