Health We take every precaution to safeguard patients and staff whilst at the practice. We follow all current guidelines related to health and safety. We comply with regulations among other matters related to COSHH and x-rays. Cross infection All procedures within the practice comply with current guidelines regarding cross infection. All instruments are sterilised in an autoclave between every use or where appropriate disposable items are used. We use the Alpron system to ensure the quality of the water supply from the dental equipment. Continuing Postgraduate Education In a time of ever more rapid changes continuing postgraduate development is more important than ever to keep abreast of changes in dentistry. Both Damian O'Shea and Sharon Till undertake postgraduate education in excess of the requirements of the General Dental Council. Clinical Governance Clinical governance refers to a range of activities and systems that ensure the practice delivers a consistently high quality of treatment and service to patients. At Church Road Dental Practice we have embraced clinical governance as an ongoing process. Complaints Every effort is made within the practice to ensure that patients are happy with every aspect of their treatment and our service. If for any reason you are unhappy with any aspect of the treatment or service you have received we have a complaints procedure. We take complaints very seriously and respond in a caring and sensitive manner. In addition to responding to a complaint we take the opportunity to make any improvements we can for the future. A full copy of the complaints procedure is available from the practice. Freedom of Information We have a publication scheme for availability of information as required by The Freedom of Information Act 2000. A copy is obtainable from the practice.
