Congratulations to Laura

Laura Gavin is already registered as a dental nurse in view of her experience. She has however carried on to complete her formal qualification Level 3 NVQ in Dental Nursing. She has also now been appointed as our senior dental nurse at the practice with day to day responsibility for running the clinical aspects of the practice. Well done to Laura.

Postgraduate Training

Sharon Till has just returned from a 3 day conference in Edinburgh organised by the British Acadamy of Cosmetic Dentistry. During the conference she attended numerous lectures by experts from the UK and USA ,covering up to date techniques in the field of cosmetic dentistry.

Damian O'Shea has recently attended a hands on practical course covering advanced implant techniques.

Both Sharon and Damian are looking forward to incorporating their new found skills and knowledge into their clinical work at the practice.

Good Practice Scheme

The practice has been successful in its application to join the Good Practice Scheme run by the British Dental Association. This involved an assessment of the practice to ensure full compliance with all current guidelines and standards for dental practices.

Digital x-rays

We have now installed the latest technology to take digital x-rays. This has many benefits such as a lower radiation dose and the ability to show images on a computer monitor so you can better understand your treatment.

Free no obligation cosmetic consultation

Many people have some aspect of their smile they are not happy with but are unsure about what is available to improve this. We have therefore introduced a free no obligation cosmetic consultation. This allows new and existing patients to discuss with a dentist what is available in cosmetic dentistry and what could be achieved for them. If after this you were interested in having treatment an appropriate examination and treatment plan can be arranged. So if there is something you've always dreamt of changing why not come in.
