Hygiene Treatment

This is carried out by our highly experienced hygienist ,Maryanne Markham,to remove tartar, staining and plaque from the teeth and advise on the correct methods of maintaining oral hygiene.

This enables the prevention of gum disease (or gingivitis).

In very severe cases of gum disease (or periodontitis) periodontal surgery can be carried out.

Fillings

We can provide both cosmetic (tooth coloured) and standard restorations for your treatment needs.

Crowns

These are provided for a variety of situations including: cosmetic, closing small gaps (diastemas), protecting teeth following root canal treatment, restoring teeth with failed large fillings, to name but a few.

Crowns can be made from porcelain, gold bonded metal-porcelain, ceramic (Zirconium-Lava), depending on an individual clinical situation or preference.

Bridges

A bridge is a prosthesis comprising artificial teeth which is secured to natural teeth. It can be made of an all-ceramic material (Zirconium-Lava) or a variety of metal bonded to porcelain types.

Dentures

Also commonly known as 'plates', these are a partial or a full set of artificial teeth. There are four main types: Acrylic/plastic,Sunflex-flexible unbreakable, Cobalt-Chrome/metal framework or Titanium. All types are designed to facilitate easy cleaning and maintaining oral hygiene. There is a vast range of tooth types and materials available.

Tooth Whitening

This treatment is designed to remove discolouration and enhance the quality of tooth enamel.

Three types of tooth whitening are available both of which have been clinically proven in America and Europe. These are: Zoom Instant Power tooth whitening, Enlighten Guaranteed B! Shade Whitening.

Both treatments can give excellent results but take different lengths of time.

CEREC

CEREC is a revolutionary ceramic restorative system which can create metal-free crowns, inlays and veneers.

CEREC is designed for the vast majority of patients nowadays who demand amalgam/metal-free, tooth-coloured, durable, biocompatible, conservative fillings.

The technology was first shown on BBC's Tomorrow's World programme!
