Everywoman Hera Award Wendy won the 2006 everywoman Hera Award for inspirational businesswomen. The Nat West everywoman Awards were launched in 2003 to recognise and honour the UK’s successful female entrepreneurs. This innovative awards programme uniquely celebrates both the success of the business venture and the personal achievement of the woman behind the business.
Investor in people award
In October 2006 we were awarded an investor in people award. Very unusually we were accredited on the first assessment visit. The assessor was very impressed and wrote “Everyone in the practice was found to be patient focused and first impressions of the practice from the greeting as you opened the door, to all the staff acknowledging your presence, offers of refreshments and all against airy, light, spacious and modern state of the art premises”. We will continue to develop and train everyone in our team so that we keep our skills honed and are able to give you the best possible service. Winner at Probe Dental Awards 2006 April 2006 - 'Winner of the Best Practice Environment Award'. The event took place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
As quoted on the night - "This practice featured highly in the judges' marking, not only because of its attention to detail in compliance and regulatory issues, but also in the innovative ways in which patients were made to feel at ease in very original surroundings. The practice has aimed to be more than just a surgery, attracting patients from a wide cross-section of the communtiy because of facilities such as wireless network, tables and chairs outside to sit at and refreshments available for patients. The rural location has made for a tranquil setting with local wildlife feeding in the garden of the surgery. The judges also made particular mention to the alpacas that patients can see from the surgery windows!"
